The Lib Dems’ Focus Newsletter says that pavement parking makes streets less accessible for people who use wheelchairs, who are blind, or who are parents with a buggy.
New legislation means councils have the power to ban pavement parking on certain streets, and the Lib Dems are calling on North Yorkshire Council to use these powers.
The MP is running a pavement parking survey which allows you to highlight one street where pavement parking is a problem, and to make general comments on the issue.
This is a good opportunity to raise any pavement parking concerns you have.
