Harrogate Station Gateway consultation result, Station Parade north

The results of the Harrogate Station Gateway consultation are in, and they support the more ambitious scheme to improve access to Harrogate Station. That means the One Lane Option for Station Parade, and full pedestrianisation of James Street.

A report about the consultation will be presented to a North Yorkshire County Council Executive Committee on 25th May, with recommended next steps. The consultation results are in Appendix B.

There are more details of the consultation responses on Hedgehog Cycling here.

Credit for an excellent consultation and report should go to Transforming Cities Fund Delivery Manager Aidan Rayner, and to Corporate Director Karl Battersby who signed off on it.

Now it is up to Councillors to do the right thing and accept the recommendations on 25th May.
