It is with great sadness that we have to report the sudden death of Carl Nelson, the owner of Veloheads and a committed and enthusiastic member of the HDCA committee.
Carl set up and ran Veloheads firstly as a Cycle Repair business and more recently as a social enterprise to work with disadvantaged young people through the vehicle of cycling.
He was also passionate about promoting cycling and sustainable transport and was a keen campaigner on behalf of the group.
Carl was a husband and family man who leaves behind a wife, Linda, two daughters and a son. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and all his other family and friends at this very sad time.
He will be greatly missed by everyone involved with the Group and his passing will leave a hole in the organisation that will be difficult to fill given the work he did.
